Game concept Jade in SE Asia distribution deal
A long-term distribution agreement has been signed between gaming and technology supplier Jade Entertainment and Game Technology Inc. and casino management and furniture supplier Game Concept Group Inc.
The deal, which was reportedly finalised last week, was announced by Gaming Concepts on Friday. The Hong Kong-based company released a press release Friday at ICE London, a company-to-business exhibition that ended Thursday, saying executives from both companies had signed the agreement.
The deal will force Gaming Concepts, which specializes in equipment, furniture, management, and consulting for casinos, to work with Jade Entertainment, which is located in Manila, South-East Asia. Jade Entertainment sells and offers slot machines and more.
A statement on Friday quoted gaming concept CEO Scott Finney as saying his company has been providing gaming services and products to its Southeast Asian gaming business since 2011. “After recently integrating a new business in the Philippines called GCG Gaming Solutions, it’s time to step up its sales and service efforts. What better way to work with Jade Gaming, one of the most respected Filipino companies?” Finney said. “We now have a comprehensive suite of services, which includes everything from table gaming, electronic gaming, systems, furniture, and pre-open management services.”
The statement quoted Jade Gaming CEO Joe Pisano as saying his company and gaming concept had been in communication for years.
“We have already started working together on several large deals in the region,” Pisano said. “With the combination of strong product, sales and technology teams, and several offices within the Philippines and other territories, we are very well positioned for growth in Vietnam, Cambodia and Japan as well as the Philippines.”
Jade Entertainment previously partnered with Japan Cash Machine Co. Ltd., a supplier of cash processing technology and ticket printers. In 2017, JCM Global appointed Jade Entertainment as the company’s distributor and authorized service center in the Philippines. Other products included in Jade’s portfolio at the time included products from brands including Novomatic AG, payment kiosk specialist NRT Technology Corp, and Walker Digital Table Systems LLC.
Mr. Pisano of Jade Entertainment told GGRAsia in an email to our inquiry about the collaboration with Gaming Concepts: “With no competing products, we will share our sales leads with each other: This broadens the services that both companies can provide to their customers.”
He added, “It also expands our reach. Jade is in the Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, Macau, and Siapan, and by the end of 2019, he is in Australia. The game concept group is covering Cambodia, Laos, and Nepal.”
