Chung Mong-gyu runs for AFC Executive Committee alone
Chung Mong-kyu, chairman of the Korea Football Association, who has been under pressure to resign amid a series of slumps in the national soccer team, including the replacement of Klinsmann and the failure to advance to the Olympic finals, has run alone in the election of the Asian Football Confederation’s executive committee.
Chairman Chung Mong-kyu has run alone as an East Asian allocation executive member amid elections for two vacant Asian Football Confederation executive members.
The election of the executive committee will be held the day after tomorrow (16th) at the General Assembly of the Asian Football Confederation in Bangkok, Thailand, and the term of office will be until 2027.
